Travel with Baby

7-12 months old

My son turned 7 months old in March, and the first thing we did was head out on a 9 day trip to Belize!  Check out what I recommend traveling with to help keep your baby occupied and your sanity in check.

If you *can*, get your baby their own seat on the plane and bring your car seat on the plane.  If that is out of reach, be ready for lots of snuggles!

TRAVEL WITH BABY MUST-HAVES:

gate check bag

.

Gate Check Bag

These pack down super small and are perfect to stuff your carseat or stroller into at the gate to keep them safe and clean.

the best baby diaper bag for flying

.

THIS BAG!

Welcome to your new carry-on bag - this holds literally everything you need including your computer.  And it's cute.

baby wet bags

Also, I randomly got sick on the airplane and threw up in this and it saved all of our stuff from being covered in vomit.

Baby Wet Bags

Poopy onesie?  Throw it in this bag.  Keep one of these in your diaper bag (see above) at all times.

travel baby bottle dryer

.

Travel Bottle Dryer

I have the OxoTot one too, and definitely prefer this version - it's bigger, but can dry more bottles!

.

Travel Tray

Pop this sucker on the seat tray and prevent toys and bottles from falling right off of the tray. â€‹

life vac anti-choking travel kit

.

LifeVac Choking Device

This alleviates my anxiety immensely with a baby starting solids.  It's small enough to fit in your diaper bag.

baby stain remover

.

Miss Mouth's Stain Remover

I don't understand what is in this - pure magic.  This removes poop stains, spit-up stains, red wine stains, every stain you can think of.

hatch sound machine

.

Hatch Sound Machine

This thing is awesome - perfect for the plane, walking around town, the hotel, etc.  It doesn't have to be this exact one, but bring a portable sound machine!

silicon place mat mushie

.

Silicone Placemat

Non-slip placemat for the airport and restaurants that rolls up small for your diaper bag.

baby brezza mini for travel

Trust me - I bought and tried every option.  This one is the best.

Baby Brezza Mini

If you are using formula, you have to invest in the Baby Brezza Pro or Mini.  I have both, and the mini is perfect for travel - it even has a travel case to keep it safe and carry on the plane.

.

Travel Suction Plate

This thing is so grippy, it's amazing.  You end up with two 'plates' and the utensils pack right inside the set.

stroller fan

.

Stroller Fan

If you are going anywhere where it might be remotely warm (including a plane), carry this with you!  This thing is a game changer.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

We use the Nanit at home, but it doesn't work at most hotels because of the type of internet connection.  We bought this additional monitor just for travel with the flexi-stand to attach it anywhere we end up!  We also use this one when we go camping in our van - but it does require power.

We travel quite a bit, so we upgraded our car seat and stroller bags to the two shown here.  The stroller bag fits our travel stroller, but not the big stroller that attaches to the carseat.

car seat carrier

These suction spinner toys stick to the airplane window or seat tray to give you at least 20 minutes of peace on the plane.

My son loves this book.  It's very tactile, soft and *quiet*.

Depending on where you are going, having the Larq water bottle can really come in handy.  It cleans water in 60 seconds - perfect for bottle making!
