Dress Your Baby for Sleep According to the Temperature

The first time I went camping with my baby, I was freaking out about the temperature. Would he be too hot? Would he be too cold? Was I increasing his risk of SIDS? That's when I started digging into the research of what he should be wearing and what we should do.


The biggest shock to me was to avoid microfleece since it is not a breathable fabric. Babies have a hard time regulating their body temperatures through materials like microfleece. You should always aim for 100% cotton or breathable light layers for your baby to sleep in. Here is a quick guide to dressing your baby for sleep according to the temperature:
